Do you think that Israel and the ADL are cowards for not addressing antisemitism at Durban 2?
For a group that wants to fight antisemitism, the ADL, Southern Poverty Law Center, the Simon Weisenthal Center and all the other pro-Israel lobbies had a chance to fight antisemitism at Durban 2, but these groups have show that they are cowards.
If these groups will not fight antisemitism, who will?
Israel has decided not to take any part of the Durban 2 confrence becasue of the massive abounts of anti-semitism remarks and accusations included in the conference document…
For example, the 2001 draft for the confrence included statements such as, "increase of racist practices of Zionism and anti-Semitism", refers Israel of having "racial policies of the occupying power."
The original official document for this years conference includes comments such as, "A foreign occupation founded on settlements, laws based on racial discrimination with the aim of continuing domination of the occupied territories,"
Since the majority of the states in the confrence are arab states, which all hate Israel, they have the power to make the document however they want…by singling out Israel as the cause of everything, and completely ignoring Islam.
Israel chose to have nothing to do with this conference becasue they didn't want to go to something that has no benefit to them, and sit there while they are being accused of aparthied, genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, murdering palestinians, stealing land, killing innocents, being terrorists, and many more. Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, defended Israel by explaining, “There is no country in the world that would want to willingly subject itself to a kangaroo court where it is demonized and delegitimized.”
Going to this conference WILL NOT FIGHT ANTI-SEMITISM, IT WILL ONLY INCREASE IT…By Israel, the United States, Italy, Canada, and more states to come boycotting this conference, they are showing the world that this conference is not helping anti-Semitism, it is only a way for the Arab nations to spread their message of anti-Semitism around the world.

They do not want to attend the Durban conference because it is a conference of anti-semtism, jewish hatred, and israeli slander. If one is not welcome, why should the attend. I'm guessing you are american, why dont you go and have a meeting and even live in Cuba or have a meeting with al queda. It is the same thing. If one is not wanted why even go. If Jews want to end anti-semitism boycott Durban, Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, Neo- Nazim, and anyone against Israel.

The conference in Durban will go down in history as an enterprise of disgrace. Instead of being an important international conference that expresses goodwill, the conference has been turned into a circus of calumny.

Why should they? its a conference thats main objective for delegitimizing Israel and is full of anti Israel propaganda.Also in the conference they are "legitimizing hatred, extremism and anti-Semitism under the guise of combating racism.Israel is smart not to attend.

It is a conference whose sole purpose is to give negative publicity to the state of Israel. The Arab countries do not care at all about human rights, and their record show it. Maybe before attacking Israel, they should allow their media to freedom to publish their own articles, prevent persecution of homosexuals, and allow freedom of religion. The hypocrisy is simply repulsive.
