Help with discount vacation?
I am looking to plan a vacation to CA preferably in or around LA. I know of a few discount vaction websites (vacationstogo.com and tntvacations) but these sites are limited to certain locations (cruise and carribian). I was wondering if someone knew of a website that offered discount vacation packages within the US or more specifically to CA. Thanks for your help

I use Expedia for all my business and leisure travel. You can get flight, hotel, car, land packages, etc. all through expedia.com.
A couple of things to watch out for:
1) When the search results are complete re-sort the recommended packages by price, Expedia sorts the results according some criteria of their own so they don't necessarily show the cheapest first.
2) Research whatever hotel is part of any package. Expedia has hotel ratings and comments that have been posted by other travellers. Research the area that the hotel is in.

Try travelocity, expedia.com, Orbitz or go to a travel agent near you to book a package. If you go to CA near LA don't miss out going to the Grand Canyon for a day and Las Vegas for a night, it's pretty close by and it is way nicer than just the LA scene.
